Tours of Distinction Circle Nevada in celebration of Nevada’s 150th Anniversary Celebration continues on day two with our fearless leader, Connie Mancillas leading us on a tour of our State capitol, a stop at the Governor’s mansion for some photos and historic Carson City itself.
From there it was on to historic Virginia City, where the Silver State got its nickname from the Comstock Lode. Once home to Mark Twain, the city still retains its wooden sidewalks and is believed to be haunted.
This afternoon our fearless travelers headed down the Eisenhower Highway along mountain ranges and the Union Pacific Railway. The afternoon break was in Winnemucca before arriving in Elko for the next two nights!
Tomorrow – Day 3 takes us to The Ruby Mountains Balloon Festival and LaMoille Canyon
